Opening a hotel in China (The Balcony Guesthouse in Jinghong)

Here is an interesting article written by a friend of mine, who used to run a guesthouse called “Dragonfly Garden” in Dali, Yunnan China. Unfortunately he and his girlfriend (now his wife I presume) had to gice the place up eventually. I think everybody who had the privilege of hanging out there will agree that it was beautiful while it lasted. Luckily they started working out a new plan, for an even better place in Jinghong (Xishuangbanna). While they were in the process of figuring out the details, he wrote this article. It’s a little out of date, but still makes for a very good read. Especially for those dreaming about entrepeneurship in China.

SCMP Article

I should really try and get down there some time, see how they are doing.
